HDFS 4320 - Evaluation of Programs for Children and FamiliesCredit Hours: 3.0 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 0 Prerequisite: HDFS 2320 or HLT 4307 , or PSYC 2301 or MATH 3211 or an equivalent introductory research methods/statistics course. Description Program evaluation involves research to evaluate the design, implementation, effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of social programs. Topics covered include reasons for and uses of program evaluations; types of evaluation, and evaluation methods; including needs assessment, formative research, process evaluation, monitoring of outputs and outcomes, impact assessment, and cost analysis.
