ARTH 7330 - Issues in Avant-garde and Kitsch Credit Hours: 3.0 (3-0) Prerequisite: graduate standing in art history, or consent of instructor. Explores tension between high art and mass culture from the 1940’s to the present, especially in the context of museum exhibitions, advertising, marketing and art criticism. Topics vary. May be repeated for credit with consent of instructor.
