Description
This is course is an introduction to the life in marine environments and will broadly explore biological and physical processes that influence patterns of distribution and abundance of organisms within different marine habitat types. Topics will include evolution and adaptation, biogeography, physical oceanography, and ecological processes that drive patterns of diversity, and the influence of human activities on marine resources. This course will also explore different types of marine habitats and how they support different ecological communities, drive trophic interactions, larval recruitment, and human exploitations.
