Master of Science in Engineering Technology - Biotechnology

This program emphasizes bioprocessing, protein engineering, computational biology, and federal regulations. Designed to help prepare individuals to conduct or supervise research and development in biotechnology or medical fields. This is a highly inter-and multi-disciplinary degree and its flexibility will allow students to tailor the coursework to meet their individual career goals.
Master of Science in Engineering Technology - Network Communications

This degree emphasis builds upon ETAC-ABET-accredited baccalaureate degree programs in the fields of computer, electronic, or electrical engineering technology, and related fields. This program provides an advanced knowledge of computer networks with a diverse set of courses in networking fundamentals, security, network management, protocols, programming, and algorithms. Furthermore, application areas such as optical networking, sensor networks, smart grid, mobile computing, and wireless networks are also available. Advanced applied research opportunities provide an enriching academic experience. Additionally, the program encourages practical experiences through industry partnerships. Master of Science in Engineering Technology - Mechanical Engineering Technology

This degree emphasis builds upon our recognized and ABET accredited mechanical baccalaureate degrees and related fields providing students with highly developed expertise in design and analysis of mechanical systems. This degree provides an integrated multi-disciplinary program designed to prepare individuals with practical and theoretical skills in Technology with a focus on applied Mechanical Engineering. This relationship facilitates the translation of research findings to meet current industry needs. With state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories, the M.S. degree offers courses and cutting-edge research experiences in several applied areas including, instrumentation and measurement, biomedical systems, advanced materials design, manufacturing, systems integration, oil and gas applications, and energy.
Special Admission Requirements- Master of Science in Engineering Technology (tracks in Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Network Communications)
In addition to the College of Technology admission requirements, applicants for the Master of Science in Engineering Technology must submit scores from the verbal, math, and analytical writing portions of the GRE exam.
Conditional admission will be considered for applicants who do not have ETAC-ABET-accredited technology degrees based on the completion of qualification course work.
Applicants must provide three letters of reference and submit a brief statement of career goals and objectives.
Depending on their interests, students may select either the thesis option or the project option in the degree plan. Project and thesis guidelines, specifying other requirements, are updated regularly and are available from the department office. Students are expected to contact program faculty on possible thesis and project topics.
