Completion of the BS in Geology requires several extended off-campus field trips which involve moderate to strenuous outdoor activity (e.g. all-day field exercises and hiking), including a 5-week capstone field course in Montana. Students who have academic accommodations and are concerned they may struggle to fulfill this requirement are encouraged to speak with the Geology undergraduate advisor to discuss accommodations and/or alternatives.
Students who choose to major in geology must complete the following requirements in addition to the special requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree:
