The BS in Exercise Science is designed for students who have an interest in exercise science, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, coaching, biomechanics, and other disciplines within the kinesiology field or students pursuing graduate education in post-graduate professional programs in medicine, dental, physical therapy, athletic training, and other fields in the health care arena. Students preparing to apply for professional programs after graduation must complete the degree requirements and prerequisites for the post-graduate health profession of their choice. Students who earn this degree will have an in-depth knowledge of human movements and physiological function and strong foundation in applied science.
Students must select one of two Exercise Science Subplans: Primary Option or Health Professions Option. Requirements for each subplan are listed below.
